Abuse

Every day we here on the news about a child killed in the wake of abuse, or about a wife killed by her husband. We hear about the repeat offender of sexual abuse, or the small child who was their victim. We can all imagine there are many more that we do not hear about.

At the end of these crimes there are victims who need help. There are couples who can learn better communication and anger management. There are spouses who must learn to escape from repeated violence that they do not deserve. There are adults that need to cope with their own abuse as children, and with the results (abusing their own children, alcoholism, eating disorders, drug abuse, etc.). Children must have education in good touch and bad touch, in talking to strangers, and in going for help if they are hurt by someone. We must fight to not let this violence continue to infect our families and society.
